The conference is dedicated to Prof. Rubakov memory


This is a Conference on Particle Physics and Cosmology dedicated to memory of Valery Rubakov who passed away in October 2022.

The idea is to get together people from over the world to discuss the domains of physics he worked in and made breakthrough contributions.

The conference is aimed to bring together world leading experts and young researchers in the field of theoretical particle physics and related topics.

The conference will consist of plenary talks (by invitation only) and selected parallel sessions presentations.

Proceedings of the Conference are planned to be published in Proceedings of Science.

Excursion and Conference Dinner

The excursion and the Conference dinner will be organized on Thursday, the 5th of October.
The meeting point is near YSU, Alek Manukyan 1, from Yeghishe Charents Street.

The buses will depart at 9:00. Please make sure that you will be on place at least at 8:45 and do not be late.
First there will be the guided sightseeing city tour in Yerevan.
Then we will visit ARARAT Brandy Factory in 3 groups. Please note that for the children it is preferable to wait in the reception of the ARARAT factory, as the air inside the factory would be tough and heavy for their lungs.
Lunch will be at "Geghard" restaurant.
Next, we will visit Geghard Monastery and Garni Temple.
The excursion duration will be about 8-9 hours.
The final bus stop in Yerevan will be at "Vostan" restaurant.

The Conference dinner is expected to start at 18:30 at "Vostan" restaurant.

Presentation guideline


The conference format includes two types of oral presentation:

Plenary talk (30 + 5 minutes)

Section talk (20 + 5 minutes)

The duration may be slightly changed upon request

 

Plenary talks are by invitation only and Parallel session talks are selected

Conference Venue


The conference site is the Faculty of European Languages and Communication of the Yerevan State University.
Address: Yerevan, Alek Manukyan St., 1, 0025.
The plenary session, parallel sessions 1 and 2 will take place in the rooms marked with corresponding signs on the second floor of the Faculty near the stairs. The parallel session 3 will take place in room 103 on the first floor. Coffee breaks and the welcome party will be organized in the canteen. The entrance to the canteen is from the yard, to the left from the main entrance to the Faculty building.

Travel


There are direct flights between Yerevan and many European cities, Athens, Brussels, Koln/Bonn, Frankfurt, Lyon, Moscow, Paris, Riga, Vienna, Warsaw.

Overland access to Yerevan can be made via Georgia or Iran.

There are regular train and bus connections between Tbilisi and Yerevan.

Accommodation


The institute is located a 30-minute walk from the center, where there are many hotels that can be booked,

for example, through booking.com or other hotel booking services.

 

Please note, that Organizers do not book the hotels and do not set any accommodation for the participants of the conference.

The participants are supposed to book the hotel themselves.
